Dr Rakesh Malhotra is a Consultant Endocrinologist holding a Senior staff specialist position at Caboolture Hospital. He is also a Consultant Endocrinologist at the Mater Misericordiae Hospital in Mackay. He practices in all areas of endocrinology and has a special interest in diabetes, thyroid and metabolic bone disease.

Dr Malhotra completed his training in Medicine and Endocrinology with honours at the University of Mumbai, India. He worked as a Consultant Endocrinologist in Abu Dhabi, UAE for nearly a decade before moving to Australia. He spent four years in Mackay and then made his way to the beautiful city of Brisbane.

Dr Malhotra is involved in medical education and is affiliated to the University of Queensland as a senior lecturer in medicine. He is a member of the Endocrine Society of Australia, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), the Endocrine Society of US, the Endocrine Society of India (ESI) and the Asia Pacific Paediatric Endocrine Society (APPES).

Dr Malhotra strives to provide centred evidence-based care to all his patients.

Dr Malhotra currently practices twice a month on a Friday at the North Lakes Specialist Medical Centre.
